ROSSINI Leathers tanning process 100% MADE IN ITALY

Leather is a beautiful natural and long-lasting product, it can last a lot longer than fabric. It is very easy to clean, and it is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Most of Rossini leather hides are of European origin and the tanning process is 100% MADE IN ITALY.

Some leathers are more protected and are recommended for families with kids, and some less protected. The less protected leather is, the more prestigious and soft will the surface appear to the touch. On all leathers due to the natural elasticity, wrinkling cannot be avoided. Also on most leathers, you will see natural characteristics such as stretch marks, insect bites, scars and color variation, which confirms that the hides are very high quality.

High Protected Leathers

Means that these leathers went through an Italian tanning process that creates a heavy- pigmented finish coat on the surface of the hides that becomes a barrier against spills, stains and fading. On High Protected leathers due to the natural elasticity, wrinkling cannot be avoided. We recommend High protected leathers for families with children and for areas with a very high use. These leathers are also very easy to clean and the top grain has a long lasting durability. ( SEE grade 25 Mellow)

Medium Protected Leathers

Means that the hides are slightly embossed for protection, but still are very soft to the touch, have a warm feeling and timeless appeal. On Medium Protected leathers due to the natural elasticity, wrinkling cannot be avoided. These are our most popular full grain leathers and are also a good choice for families with kids. (SEE grade 38 ( Arcobaleno, and Nature)

Low Protected Leathers

Means that the original surface of the hide has not been touched so it can maintain extra softness and natural beauty. These are expensive, prestigious European hides called full aniline and full top grain hides. The beauty of these leather is natural characteristics such as scars, stretch marks and slight color variation. On Low Protected leathers due to the natural elasticity, wrinkling cannot be avoided. These natural aniline leathers are delicate and require attention to mantain their beauty over time. No food or drinks to avoid damage to the leather as stains cannot easily be removed. SEE grade 40 (Maya, Moss, Seta), grade 45 (Cashmere, Oxford ), grade 55 (Bella Vita) and grade 65 (Amleto, Nabuk). We do not recommend these leathers for families with children.

Beside the furnishing, the Leather “Cashmere” perfectly fits with the wide world of leather goods (handbags, luggage, accessories). The range of colours for the Cashmere was the result of careful research among the most refined environment in the fashion’s world where, in particular about colours, we can anticipate future trends while keeping constantly a taste for classic colours.
Avoid placing leather in direct sun and away from direct heat.

Cat.45 Oxford

Oxford is a furniture leather produced on selected european hides, where quality of grain is carefully evaluated.
The hides are processed with a tradition beamhouse process of liming and tanning, with long time in wooden drum to ensure a better quality of the grain. Oxford is a pure drum dyed aniline leather, without correction of finishing layers but only applying a particular mix of oil and waxes which give transparency and depth to the leather.
The hides are toggle dried , which gives a very soft hand and a surface which has a small grain design, combined than with a special retanning process which enhances the natural beauty of this aniline leather.
Growth marks, healed scars and all natural factors that have influenced the hide are part of the look of the finished leather . Color variation within the hide or from hide to hide are part of the natural soul of this item.
To clean this leather we suggest the use of specific cleaning kits for aniline upholstery leather available in the market.
The leather is sensible to heating sources and direct light, which may cause fading of the color and we strongly suggest to avoid as much as possible to have the finished product too close to these factors.
